Dear Friend of Orphan Compassion,

If you LOVE children, LOVE books, LOVE being entertained, LOVE friends

WE HAVE A GREAT DAY PLANNED FOR YOU!

You are invited to attend our Local Author’s Luncheon at the beautiful, elegant Hillsborough Racquet Club on Tuesday, December 7, 2010. Our mission is to raise funds for 200 orphans living in Cameroon and our theme is The Gift of a Child.

Since the initial trip to Cameroon, Africa, May 2007, Orphan Compassion Auxiliary has committed to meet the educational and foster care needs for 200 children orphaned by HIV/AIDS until they graduate from High School. With your help, we will continue to provide tuition for school, textbooks, workbooks, backpacks, shoes, uniforms and foster care for each child.

Our 2010 festive event will showcase the following local authors and their books. Along with our five speakers there will be a number of additional local authors offering their autographed books for sale and time for conversation prior to the luncheon in the Foyer.

Master of Ceremonies:  Mr. John Rothmann, the popular author, historian, archivist, and talk show host on KGO radio and  author of, Icon of Evil which deals with WWII and the rise of radical Islam.

Allison Bartlett:
The Man Who Loved Books Too Much

Francis Dinkelspiel: Towers of Gold

Kathy Ellison: A Year of Paying Attention

Gary Pomerantz: The Devil’s Ticket

Dr. Patrick Hunt:  TBA

We offer you the opportunity to reserve a table for 10, which includes premier seating, lunch with one of the authors should you participate in our Table sponsorship levels: Pulitzer Prize, Best Seller and Book Club. Be aware that space is limited at the Racquet Club, so we hope you’ll reserve your table early.

It is our sincere hope that you may help us in this important endeavor. Please complete the enclosed form before October 15. We look forward to the December 7th luncheon and sharing the day with our special local authors and YOU!
